Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is a low cost and small sized single board computer developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation for educational, research, embedded systems and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Introduced in March 2018, it is an improved version of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, offering faster networking, enhanced thermal management, and better wireless connectivity while maintaining compatibility with previous Raspberry Pi models.  Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is a favourite for robotics, home automation, surveillance systems, artificial intelligence projects, industrial automation and educational labs thanks to the versatility, low cost and powerful performance.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is powered by a 1.4 GHz 64-bit Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, which provides sufficient computing power for multitasking and embedded applications.  Thanks to the 1 GB LPDDR2 SDRAM, users can run several programs, process data efficiently, and run Linux-based operating systems. Although it has modest memory compared to modern computers, it is adequate for most educational, networking, and IoT applications.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ has a Full-Size HDMI port for multimedia use and supports Full HD (1920 × 1080) video output. It also features a CSI camera connector for Raspberry Pi cameras, and a DSI display connector for official Raspberry Pi touchscreens. There are four USB 2.0 ports to connect keyboards, mice, storage devices, printers, webcams and other USB peripherals.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ uses a MicroSD card as the primary storage device where the OS and user files are stored. It supports various operating systems, including Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, LibreELEC, Kali Linux, and several other Linux distributions.  It is one of the best programming languages and is widely used in software development and education with languages like Python, C, C++, Java, Scratch, Nodejs, etc.

Power is supplied through a 5V Micro-USB connector, and the recommended power adapter is 5V, 2.5A.  The relatively low power consumption of the board makes it well suited for portable and battery powered applications. An improved thermal design and optimized power circuitry provide better stability during continuous operation.
